Dye eggs to look like juicy little strawberries, complete with felt leaves and white paper flowers. Then, nestle your "produce" in a berry basket for an instant centerpiece.
- Red PAAS dye
- Plastic cups
- Water and vinegar
- Drying rack
- Gold paint pen (we used a Krylon gold leafing pen)
- Floral wire and tape
- Hot glue gun
- Green felt and scissors
- Small star punch or stencil
- Yellow marker or colored pencil
For the eggs: Following the instructions on the dye box, dye eggs pink using the red tablet and let dry. Next use a gold paint pen to draw seeds.
For the stem and leaves: Wrap a 3- to 5-inch piece of wire in floral tape. Bend one end of the wire (about a half-inch) at a 90-degree angle and hot-glue bent section to egg base. Cut leaves from green felt and glue to stem and egg, being sure to cover up wire stem base.
For the blossoms: Use a small star punch to cut out paper stars. Squeeze points to curl and use a yellow marker or colored pencil to create center.
